Ok I took the plunge and bought an ipad 3. Merrily transferred my didgital copies onto it a couple of weeks ago and had a great time watching them on my weekly commute. Anyway a week ago I tried to sync a couple more [plenty of space]. Started getting the message that files could not be written.

Anyways spend the weekend removing and re-installing itunes, full restore on ipda. No luck. Go to Apple Store and there's no problem with the ipad. Hook it up to my lousy work laptop and syncs fine [both itunes and avplayer].

My laptop is running an I5 processor so can't see that being an issue. Must be the USB.

How do I tell and how can I fix it.

Reinstall USB drivers??

Seem that it most probably is pc related

Try another USB
Uninstall the USB drivers in device manager reboot and let it redetect, check bios that there are no fancy USB options if so try another
Try sync over wifi see if it works any better. If your using avplayer hd use the wifi option on it,

Worst case flatten pc I'm about to do mine in the next 2 weeks as windows 8 comes out mid August full release.

Cheers wiill reinstall the USB drivers. Have used all USB'S.

Wifi works fine just takes a little longer.
