New iPad has arrived....
...and the screen is just amazing!!
Upgrading from an iPad1 this is unbelievable, much faster and I can't explain how crisp and sharp the screen is.
Just wish my new AppleTV had been delivered at the same time

Nice I ordered mine 3hrs after it went up on apple's site in the UK, delivery expected Monday.
We were going to head out at stupid o'clock this morning and queue for my bro, but decided against it.
Spoke to apple cardiff earlier, and the business woman said it would be approx 4 week delay if we were to order on line now due to the number of orders. I can see there being quite a shortage after this weekend tbh.

I have both the new iPad and the iPad 2 in front of me side be side. Whilst the screen is an improvement, lets not exaggerate, it's hardly earth shatteringly amazing. In fact there is hardly any difference in HD playback between the two on 720p or 1080p videos.

I've compared it to mt wife's iPad2 and I can tell the difference in the quality of the screen.
I'll take a picture with it later, the wife has it at the moment and I'm snot sure I'll be getting it back

Well from iPad to new iPad it is a worthwhile upgrade. but from iPad 2 I would save your money. iPad 2's are now from £329 which represents much better value. Samsung Galaxy 10.1 are still £399.

I love it!!!
Maps! Comics! Books! Documents! All readable on iPad before, but it's just like print now!!
Cameras not as good as the 4S but better exposure control than the 4.
Absolutely brilliant

Had a look today. That is a really nice display, I'm impressed. Not quite as good as a good eInk screen but very close. And of course backlit and colour.
Kindle app has just been updated for the display and books look excellent.
Didn't think the camera was that good either. It's a nice to have for sure but not at all special.
So defo. a good upgrade from iPad1 but not enough for me to upgrade from an iPad2.
Apple Store said there was a small queue this morning but otherwise had been quiet. They had plenty of stock as well.
