Can anyone recommend a good Laptop/Notebook for about £900. It should have a DVD player and as much spec after that as possible.

Cheers,

Craig.

I can recommend a bad one.
i.e don't whatever you do buy one.

Sonys range sucks, they have good style and processors but the software (drivers) and support is crap.

I've had Dell portables in the past and they have always been superb, reliable and well built.

Thumbs up

Mine "might" be available for sale....
Compaq Armada M700 P3 500Mhz, 384Mb Ram, 10Gb HDD, DVD, VGC, Windows2000 Professional O/S

I'll be waiting £400 for this, so you've still got £500 in your sky rocket

What about something from Fujitsu Siemens ??? Look at the notebooks link.

I use an S series. They are the most reliable in the business at the moment. See if you can get hold of WillieF - he is a reseller.

Craig,
If you buy Mega_stream's Compaq M700, I could upgrade it to a 1ghz system for you. With warranty.

Suba,
No I wouldn't just change the Cpu, I'd change the system board.
