Default Macbook Screen

Hi guys,

have a Macbook (late 2008 unibody aluminium) - screen has started to go strange and displays a 1" wide fuzzy strip from top to bottom and it's been getting worse.

You can make it disappear by moving the screen and 'twisting' it from the corners although that appears to be more and more difficult now

QUestion is - do I need a new screen or another screen cable?

Cheers guys

Tried that already and they said "that'll be £280 please sir"

They didn't do a good job checking it out at all so would rather try and work out what it could be myself - might just be the cable according to somebody over at MacRumors forums.

Fixed it

Just reseated the cable into the connector. Now it only plays up when you flex the screen with your hands!

However.... managed to crack the screen cover that sits on top fo the LCD!!

Seen a replacement on Ebay for £32 but does anybody know of elsewhere for the same kinda price?

thanks
