Default Graphic cards

Started playing World of Tanks and my current integrated graphics card is no good.

Graphic cards mentioned are Videocard: GeForce 6800GT with 256 MB of RAM / ATI X800 with 256 MB RAM, DirectX 9.0c

Now I guess these are quite old cards can anyone suggest alternatives (not big into PC gaming so don't need or want a powerful or expensive card just enough to play W.O.T)

reet i also play world of tanks and its a raper of cards well they get hot anyway.

I have various laptops and desktops with ATI 5870s in and all run perfect

the laptops run 5870Mobiles and Quadro 4000s.

Youl be fine with any ATI 5850 and above or Nvidia 480 above for 1900 x1200 res

5970s aint much now good cards

noooooooo! build/upgrade yourself save a fortune all plugs/connectors idiot proof these days, just need to be earthed when handling processors/memory but it's enough to connect mains lead to installed power supply and keep touching exposed chassis, try scan, overclockers or web-systems and get graphics card with 512mb minimum pref 1gb but make sure it's a gaming card as many look good spec. but are designed for mainly for blue-ray etc, sec hand is fine for cards also some people just gotta have the latest thing

ooby is right Black but if you dont know a thing about it then buy it of course.

I built loads over my life but last year i bought 2 cos i just couldnt be arsed,

I got my son a nice litttle core i5 from Chillblast and i got myself a Monster from yoyotech both of which have been bulletproof.

if you need piece of mind then i can only reccomend Dell as they do on-site handholding, as all the rest want your pc shipped back.

Any of them will do you the 750 one is a little fast bast

You are right matey, build own PC,which will cost lot less than build PC from mainstream makers(HP,Dell etc.)

I would recommend have look at Barbone bundles

No problem, so many people get confused over what makes a good GFX card it's easier to just rank them in a direct comparison. All these different variables about performance mean nothing unless it's implemented correctly.
