There's plenty of Apple fans around here to tell you the virtues of the iphone.
I've got iphone right now. And am about to move away as, well, the issues I have are documented on here. It's just time to move on.

I like the idea of a real keyboard (Blackberry). I actually communicate with my phone, so I've got an ipod for the apps (which is by FAR the best thing about the Apple)
I like the idea that the 'berry is secure (unlike iphone's Jailbreak - even a mook like me could do it! and the same goes for Android's rooting)

Berry Apps are non-existent in all fairness (hence ipod comment)

Android, well just seems "bolted together" - when you go through the menus it just feels like a lot of apps thrown together.

Apple doesn't. It's a pretty polished OS that (imho) treats the user like a child. There are some limitations, but they ALL have limitations - pick one that you can live with.

Blackberry does seem polished and more professional (imho)

Hardware-wise, Ant & Mart are spot on. iPhone is a great all round package if you just want to use it and fit in to how Apple perceive you using it. Not the most powerful, and the Bold 9900 or 9810 (Torch2) are comparable to iPhone 4. Time will tell as to how far ahead iphone 4s/5 is. You'll hear all sorts of bullsh1t on here that no doubt it will be by far the superior in every way. This is the expectation, but until it actually lands, nobody except Apple actually know.
The S2 is still by far the most powerful (at the expense of a questionable OS). But the marketplace is a bit "meh".

I'm currently looking at (in order of preference)

1. Torch 2 (9810)
2. Baked bean tin with an aerial
3. iPhone 4s/5

(only kidding!! There's some movement this next few weeks so will take them ALL for a test drive and get the one I'm most happy with)

DAn

i went from a bold 9700 to galaxy s2. no comparison. the android phone is miles better. screen to die for, very light, 1080 video, 8mp camera, 2mp front facing camera, dual core cpu, 2 gb phone memory, 16gb usb memory and will take a 32gb microsd card as well. can be rooted easily, does all my email accounts with ease, highly configurable, loads of apps on andriod market. the phone to have at the moment.

The BlackBerry is very, very good at email but not very good at anything else.

My work Blackberry is sitting on my desk whilst I use my work sim in my iPhone 4 (or Galaxy S). Both of those phones are far better all round performers with OKAY email, but great games, movies and applications.

I have a Blackberry 8520 as a work phone and it is a stable OS does email and text and phone calls well but everything else is poor.

I have a motorola Droid running Android 2.1 as my own phone nice screen better camera, does face book etc but isnt stable and the motorola OS is full of bugs my various old SE Symbian smart phones worked better and were more reliable

my friends with Iphones think they are wonderfull but fragile and brilliant if you want an ipod but dont forget Iphone 4 is terriable for phone calls as you cover the ariel when you hold the phone so calls get dropped

x2, does what it says on the tin. Infact I like it so much that when my contract is up(which is soonish), I will be just getting a sim only deal and keeping it.

My missus is looking into getting a Samsung Galaxy S2 and by **** it is a AWESOME phone. The screen on the Samsung makes the Iphone seem remarkabely dull.

Blackberry is lagging behind. Unless it's a requirement for work, there's much better out there. As for physical keyboards, there's others that include those too. Desire Z for example.

But we know you're heavy handed.

Is there many other android phones with hard keyboard?
