I'm after some software to edit my MOV files created from the camera. All i want to do for now is just cut segments out of the video file, so i only upload the 5 seconds i want, not the whole 45 seconds.

Any ideas?

 

If you have installed Windows Movie Maker,this will do or Virtual dub,Avidemux

Neither WMM nor VirtualDub works with MOV videos.

 

Have you installed plugins or codec pack for this ?

Without codecs,plugins will not work properly

Find someone with a Mac, open the file, edit, trim, job done, none of this faffing around.

 

WMM works with my .mov files

However, to answer the OP - this software:

Easyedit which comes free with a Contour HD helmet cam can chop .mov files quick and easily

 

When i tried to open the MOV video in WMM it said...

"...is not a supported file type and cannot be imported".

I've heard WMM Live works with .MOV filetypes.
