"Stuff for sale" off Facebook.....
My e-mail is getting bogged down with stuff for sale off facebook, which I don't remember signing up for. It can generate up to 40 e-mails per day, so mis a couple of days, you are swamped.
Any advice on how to get shut of it, gladly received, I've tried dumping all such into junk, but they just keep coming.

I'm guessing you have a rogue application.
If you go in to account seeting and then applications, clicking on edit each application shows what it is allowed to do. Most by default send you an email and this option cannot be disabled (for example you cannot stop the scoobynet app from sending emails
). I don't know if there is any other way round it barring removing the application.
