I phone 4
Hi guys, my phone contract is up in 3 months and was considering making the leap to a touch screen.
Being a macbook owner i thought it might be the easy option to get the i phone.
I'm not a technophobe but i'm also not that up to speed with these new fangle gadgets, hence wanting to take the path of least resistance when it comes to being able to get them to work together.
It's the first dipping of my toe into the world of touch screen technology, and i would like it to be as seamless as possible.
Main thing i want to know is will there be a new generation released anytime around when i'm thinking of going for it, as i would hate to get the 4 only to discover a month or so later there is a new 5.
But any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There are rumours of either an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 due sometime in September. If you can wait then I'd suggest doing so, just to see if anything does appear. If the new model does not offer anything you want then what is the current model could well see a price drop.

For your first touch screen phone you can't go wrong with an iPhone imo.
I've had a 3GS for a couple of years now and its been brilliant. If i was to buy into the smartphone game from fresh i'd probably go for an Android as i prefer the customization you can do etc but if you want it to just 'work' the iPhone is brilliant. Only thing i truly hate about mine is having to use iTunes

Maybe this link to the MacRumors Buyer's Guide also helps. At least to stay informed.
If it looks anything like the one in the link i hope its splash proof
Nice to know it will have been out a couple of months before i buy one.
I'm sure it's going to be the hottest thing on the planet come crimbo, just about every kid on the planet is going to be praying that santa leaves one of those in their stocking and a fair few adults too..
