You are really looking at these notebook?

In my opinion is not worth, rather spend little more and buy Notebook with little bit higher spec of CPU(Intel i3 or i5)

I bought a Archos netbook as a third computer for web browsing taking abroad. It was XP home basic cost me £220 about 15 months ago, hated the 10.1 screen basic XP crap battery life, so for £20 more get the Samsung with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and 6 cell battery.

Truth be known just wanted to see what all the Windows 7 fuss is all about When my main laptop gives up the ghost, I would buy a better spec CPU laptop.

Net books for the sole reason it's very very small slips down the side of your briefcase

Other than that I agree may as well get a lappy

I can tell you what's going on. The iPad is replacing the Laptop for more functions and for more people every day. I was laughed at for suggesting it when they were released, and a few jesters may snigger now but like it or not the Laptop market is dying and iPads are booming.

Other iPad copies will no doubt take a slice of the pie this year.

I bought an Asus netbok recently in staples to replace my failing laptop was £189 and is a fantastic piece of kit, was initially put off by the small screen but i'm used to it now, much faster for booting up and browsing than my laptop was.
I'm happy with a stripped down version of windows as truth be told i don't use windows to anywhere near its full potential.
I think netbooks are taking over from laptops, Ipads won't be a real substitute until the cost drops by a few hundred quid. I considered a Ipad but the cost was crazy compared to netbooks and even laptops

and netbooks won't replace laptops either i had to sort my niece's dell netbook 10" and it was impossible to use it with the poxy screen size

Wait till Chrome OS hits netbooks....

if the specs are as good as they say, it will certainly be a wakeup call

I ordered from Dixons online, nothing came, but they charged the card immediately. After 10 days i managed to cancel the transaction, couple of weeks to get the money back. Did not bother with them again!
It was also a refurb, no one sent it, probably did not exist in reality!
