I have a 3gs and have had it allmost 2 years now.

but on the 1st of may, I stoped reciving emails from my .ntl account. from my yahoo one i recive them fine. if I log onto my .ntl account on my pc i can read my emails ok.

I have looked in the settings and it is turned on.

any ideas on what this might be?

Take this as an incentive to stop using your NTL email, go to your NTL web based email and set up a forwarder to your Yahoo address.

Have you deleted the emails you dont want as it might be full ,i had this with my hotmail and deleted them online and now recieve them again

IMAP can sometimes get itself confused as to whether it is up to date or not. My advice would be to remove the account from the iPhone and recreate it from scratch.

It may well then be fine.

Failing that get rid of the dumbass iPhone and get a Blackberry that does email properly.

It's just what happens with IMAP accounts sometimes. One of those things as they say.
