I am considering upgrading my PC soon. Currently the PC has an 8Mb ATi Graphics card and I also have WinTV. I am unsure whether these are separate cards though.
What I like about having the TV on my PC is it saves space in my bedroom and so I would like to obtain the same when I upgrade.
When I upgrade I would go for something like say a GForce 4 for a graphics card and this has TV out facility. Now as I understand this just means you can use your PC through a normal TV screen which is not what I am after. However I have seen the ATi All In Wonder jobs which I think incorporate a TV card. But I have read ATi's can crash when gaming.
Am I able to get a separate graphics card and TV card or am I better getting an All In One. Also getting separate cards, are they likley to cause problems with one another?
What does anybody advise?
Damian.

My 2p - The Tv out function is as you describe.
Previously had an Ati Tv card, used to crash about all over the place, however seems to be stable in my dad's pc with 98 SE. Mind you he's not doing much gaming.
I'd personally go for the geforce and get a seperate Tuner card, if only because the geforce 4 is an excellent gaming card. You can get geforce cards without the tvout facility, makes them a little cheaper.

I currently use a VooDoo3500TV - which has a TV out...for connecting to my PC for watching (ahem!) AVI movies.....
And a built in TV tuner on the board as well....the card rocks...well did 2yrs ago!
The WinTV card you have IS seperate from the graphics card...they are made by Haupauge.
So really you can buy anyfink you like and bang it in...it will not affect your WinTV card....even if it does you buy a new WinTV card from Haupauge for £30 upwards.
The ATI All in Wonder 8500 is a damn fine card though.....for an all in one.....don't alway listen to what people say about they crash all the time...ever a see a PC which did'nt?
