To improve my already legendary CS playing skills, I'm thinking of upgrading my lowly nVidia TNT Pro2 64Mb card with something more fasterer.

Any suggestions without breaking da bank?

The above 2 articles will give you an upto date idea of what's what.

It would help if you put up the spec of your machine too, really.

Cheers,

Nick

A generic GeForce3 Ti200 64MB Graphics can be got from Dabs for £106.92 inc vat and shipping. Will run well enough on your 600 system and will be alright for a future pc upgrade too. Completely different class to the old tnt series

The only problem with buying grneric is that they may forgo things like heatsinks on the RAM of the graphics cards, which have been fitted as standard to most well known brands since the Gf2 Ultra series onwards.

Cheers,

Nick

Forgot to mention DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT buy a Geforce MX series card of any revision, they are pretty poor performers.

I didn't bother mentioning the Gf2 Ti series, as their price isn't too far below the price of the 3ti series now..... Good cards though. Best off running 1024x768x16. Don't waste your time with 32bit, it just isn't really necessary, IMO.
