Depends how many you want!
Difficult to get prices down much below 500 (+VAT) unless you want 50+ of them!
Hansol 17" can be found reasonably cheap, Iiyama's cheapest about 470+VAT (stock can be hard to find), or Samsung's 171S at about 515+VAT

Right then, trade prices for one offs start @ £364 +Vat (discounts for volume) for a Vibrant 17. I'm not in the business of supplying computer parts these days as there is bugger all margin on hardware, but bearing that in mind a sub £400+Vat price should be possible soon or now.

Mosty of the LCD screen are on the way up. I'm working on an order for 680 15" TFTs for a big newspapers and can only get an extra £4.00 of each one !! Prices have risen by 10% on some brands. Apple upped the price on the new iMac by over £100 due to TFT prices rising !
I would strongly advise you go for a known brand. I've seen some real rubbsih out there. Screen quality Ok but very poor electronics and reliability a bit iffy. I'd advise Mitsubishi / NEC, ViewSonic or Sumsung at the moment. Formac will be bringing out a VGA version of the 1740 Gallery which is whay I'd go for but it may be a few months away and will be around £500 +

I'd also add that the Vibrant has a four year warranty, never seen one myself but I wouldn't knock the quality, the supplier's lesser known brands are usually quite good.
