Google Security Broken Android

Finding a broken Android at www.google.com/security is a bit like finding a rock with the face of Jesus on it at the Baptism Site in Jordan.
But you'll all play it down.
But you'll all play it down.

Yeah, strangely making up a url proceeded by a genuine address will result in a 404...

1. You don't think it's a bit odd that a company such as Google who produce applications and operating system doesn't have a page at /security?
2. You don't find it in the slightest bit funny that the Google 404 page has a broken Android as a logo?
You lot must be wearing Google Goggles.

Not if it's a division. The /Security url branch would only occur if the page was child page of the homepage.
Here you go, it's a child page of the corporate page.

Also one of our big rivals also does not have this type of URL either.
And these are companies with billion $/€ turnovers so not I think you'd place them you there as global leaders in telecoms.
Oh and nor does Vodafone, should we carry on?

No disrespect but we're not talking telco's here. Try the competitors www.microsoft.com/security www.apple.com/security even www.nokia.com/security and not forgetting www.blackberry.com/security
Then you try www.android.com/security and there it is, a broken Android and no advice. I'll have a word with them tomorrow. Hopefully they'll see the funny side too.

While you can list some companies with /security, there are probably just as many in a apps field without. So your assertion that it must make for a bad OS/company is plain wrong.

Don't be so hard on yourself
The thread is utterly inane. I commented (as is my right on a public forum btw) as I never would have believed someone could post a thread reading so much into a 404 page until I saw it for myself.
It really is so absolutely a thread from nothing that it almost makes me fascinated to find out what you will drag up next to show Android/Google in a bad light compared to Apple except for the fact that I genuinely think you maybe need to get some help!
Failing that maybe I am wrong and you really are just a complete plank!

Do you think it would do Google any harm to have some content at www.google.com/security ? Y
I find it very funny that when you're looking for information on a broken version of Android you find a broken Android, if that makes me a plank then so be it. Tomorrow I hope to meet with a member of the security team from Google, I'll let you know how it goes, perhaps I can change something.
Now, what Toaster did you buy in the end? And was the ten page thread worth reading?

We're not a telco, nor is the rival I mentioned. We are equipment manufacturers and yes we have made OS's in the past (though we're embracing Linux now), and produce apps for a variety of platforms ours and others (including Android and Apple platforms). Granted we don't actually have a mobile phone OS, but we're in that field. In fact much of our marketing material states those companies listed as competitors.

had a quick flick through the security discussions on apple apparently they have abandoned security updates fro the iphone and iphone 3G?
This could really be damaging to apple I guess they want every one to upgrade to the iphone 4 or iphone 5 and are trying to make all of the old models obsolete

Would be interested to hear who you are meeting from the "security team" from Google. I know most of them very well, but majority are in the US.
