Finally... the phone I've been waiting for

Dual core 1.2GHz processor. In a phone.
So in June I'll be bugging O2 for a new handset, or just tell 'em sod it and go with Vodaphone in May.

looks nice but all much of a muchness to me, I want an aluminium framed phone with an amazing camera not just "ok' still can't see any reason to change from my desire... maybe apple will bring out something amazing or ground breaking as there is nothing to set any of them apart now.

This thread is about dual core Android based phones of which there are at least four known to be coming to the UK market this summer (one is already out).
What's tablets got to do with it? I'm sure there will be ones based on the same platforms (e.g. Samsung).

Looking forward to getting my mitts on this phone. I've been stalking the Pyramid for a while now and the OH contract is up in 3 weeks. She wants my Desire.

Sensation should be a crackin' phone - say Dave who has a Desire HD ...
But look what sort of thing's coming along ... http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/s...ore-smartphone .... "... A report from South Korea quoting a high ranking Samsung employee has claimed that the manufacturer is planning to release a smartphone powered by a dual-core 2GHz CPU some time in 2012. ..."
Though other reports say by the end of this year ....

With 1 year contracts back to being the norm, you can still get an upgrade now and get the new phone early on in 2012. Although i'd like to see an improvement in battery technology before dual core 2GHz phones.

The new Sensation is coming out over a year after the original Desire release, which is the natural upgrade.

And comments like this don't help
Always seems to be the same people.
With comments like "now this is game changing" blah blah
But repeat offenders keep getting away with it

I do think that battery technology needs to be improved before they start introducing 2 & 3GHz processors. Sure, it is a headline grabbing stat, but fecking useless if it can't last a day with all the tech turned on.
I just really can't decide which phone I want now.
I think I might just have to go with a 12 month contract so that I can upgrade early!

I would be far from happy spending out a load on a new HTC phone to find out 3 months later HTC release a much better one which seems the trend for the last couple of years.

You've got to laugh. All this fuss over a bit of tech. For me Apple goodies do look the biz but are way too expensive, therefore I'll be going the Android route soon. Got a Windows Mobile phone at the moment (HTC Touch HD) but surprisingly not tempted by a new Windows phone. Seems less hacker friendly than the old ones

12 month contracts are the best, I have been back on them a few years now. You pay a little more each month but you get the phone you want. My daughter already has her heart set on my Galaxy S when I upgrade in june. If there is an iphone released then I may consider it but I'm not paying a ridiculous price for a phone and tied in for 24months as well.
