SD card reader in a USB port - pc thinks it's a disk drive?
Trying to copy over some .img files to load onto a Garmin Edge cycling GPS unit. Everytime I try to copy file from the PC to the card reader it tells me to insert a disc into drive J (the one that comes up when I plug in the card reader). Any ideas? Do I need to rename the drive or something?

This might help or at least give you some more info (also see comments). It is possible, that your SD card is not formated as FAT or any other Windows-readable format (I assume you are running Windows). A good partition manager might help to identify the used format.
