BT Openworld CD - messed up mate's computer
#1
sounds like another freeserve fiasco where a novice user tries to install the latest BT Openworld demo / trial disk onto his machine and the installer completely messes up his system.
Right now he's stuck in the position that every time he clicks his IE or Outlook icons its booting into the BT Opeworld menu screen to install their software.
said I'd pop down tonight to put things right - anyone know a quick fix to get rid or is it a case of delving into the registry?
Is there an offiicial copy of say IE5.5 I can burn onto a cd for him which will overide his problems ?

Buy one of the computer Mags. they usually have less corrupted copies of IE. PC Pro is usually pretty good. Has latest versions of IE etc plus serveice packs (DVD usualy has stacks on).
