Question

We got Cisco Works Version 3, want it installed on a P4 system we've been told that v3 won't work on an Intel P4 processor based system

It works fine on a P3 but not on a P4

Is someone having a laugh

Or is this true?

Do you know the specific version as Cisco work is a big application? From memory CW has always been a pain regarding service packs but never processors. The release notes state a PIII but I would say a P4 is fine. I would also say it runs fine on an AMD processor.

I have also had problems installing oracle client on pentium 4 based machines... it was down to the java runtime... does it use that?? I had to rename a dll.. maybe something similar??
