Ebuyer are doing the Samsung 2Tb for £59. But it's not the 6GB/s interface.

That's a GOOD disk there, and a scary price

they are preaty resonable now when you compare to faster HD's , i have had a couple of these running raid 0 for over a year now as my OS/games drive and they are awsome, you will not regret spending the money.

They are still too expensive for me to bother swapping out a 'normal' hard drive. When they are ~£100/500gb I will probably buy one.

not sure i'll wait that long, but there roughly 130 ish (give or take) for a decent speed one with 90gb, think when they hit sub £100 for 120gb i'll prob go down that route

I got 1TB for that price this time last year. Prices will continue to fall I should imagine.

I picked up a WD 2TB one for £75 delivered last week. Have 4x WD drives and have been faultless, so continue to buy them. But i agree, the prices are going crazy. Is it because of the USB3 drives etc?

My M225 has been excellent, I use it for OS parition and my apps. Very fast boot and response times. Newer drives coming out very soon are pushing speeds up further and IIRC the C400 will be cheaper than the current C300

there is no comparison to magnetic HD's , the speed difference needs to be seen , my win 7 ultimate 64 boots in about 6 -7 secs , the same partition on an HD takes about 25-30secs (and thats a pair of fast drives in raid 0)

At the end of the day if you use your PC alot then they are well worth the purchase , if you use it in the evening once in a while to browse the net then its probably not the purchase for you.

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/225415 ... try 1 of those (easy enough space for OS and Apps) or if your feeling rich get 2 in raid 0 or even 3/4

Dave.
