Default Damnit I got a virus!

Well I've never had one (that i've known about) in all the time, i've had a computer and now it looks like I have got one for being stupid and opening up an email. To my defense it actually came from a friends email addy.

Now the problem i'm having is windows are now opening and closing including links to **** and it has turned off windows defender and will not allow me to open it up again as its throwing up error messages.

what can i do?

install and run malware bytes, install it in normal mode and then switch into safe mode and run it doing a full scan

He's already been told that jura read the thread

CCleaner will not remove virii or trojans it fixes registry issues and removes temporary files only.

Before you run a scan with Malware Bytes you will need to update it, it will find the problem then.

Pay and install Kaspersky, I have never had any problems on my PC since using Kasprsky. Descent anti virus is worth paying for as there is more and more around now trying to kill your pc.

Kaspersky is not best, try free version of Avira, which is better than your Kaspersky in every test...
Look at this test http://www.av-comparatives.org/
Decent AV have same virus protection as anyone free(some have horrible like AVG which bad recognize Rogue Virus).
Some AV programs don't recognize Rogue Viruses
