Default Laptop Purchase Advice

Looking to get my Dad a laptop for Christmas and dont really know what to go for. Price wise would be upto £450, just looking for the best my budget will buy.

Can anyone point in the right direction?

any of the dell deals wil be col try for the onsite warrenty, as youll know Dads etc can natter when stuff breaks Dell can take some of it.

go for a core I3 or I5 if u can but failing that get at least 4 gig ram.

Pcworld dare i say it have some Ok units in

I always check the reviews on pcpro.co.uk - the A List on there is usually a good guide.
