acer extensa 502t USB problem
Hi,
Just been given an old acer extensa 502t laptop.
All i want it for is to connect to tv and watch downloaded films through.
Its not been used for donkeys years so plugged it into mains turned on and no display? but when connected through a svga lead to tv i get a display on tv so can live with monitor screen not working, have tried brightness etc case it had been turned down but still no joy.
Came to plug my USB stick in with a film on, went under files and computer doesn't know USB is plugged in?
So restarted went to BIOS and went to USB function support and it was disabled, so enabled it, tried again, no joy.So went back to BIOS again and the USB function support was saying disabled again, so i re-enabled it and again said save BIOS but everytime i do this it then when re-checked has disabled it again.
Why wont it save this setting-any idea?

will also the fact that the CMOS battery is flat have any bearing as to why the screen isn't working and that i cant get it to save the USB option?
