iPAQ 3870 And Bluetooth - Help!!
#1
Chaps,
Need help urgently!!.
Have lost my ActiveSync CD for iPAQ 3870. Am trying to connect to GPRS via Bluetooth (this has worked before), and now I get a GPF when trying to run the Bluetooth Manager software on the iPAQ.
I need to re-install the Bluetooth Manager software, and Compaq tell me that it can't be downloaded from their site, they only ship it on a CD
I need it now, any chance anyone could send it to me?
TIA,
Alex

there is NOWT 2 load to get bt on a 3870, its in rom. maybe something else has screwed it? have you loaded the compaq bt service pack? or try a hard reset - will lose ALL your data.

Greg,
Thanks, have since tried the hard reset and realised that the BlueTooth Manager is in the ROM, just didn't want to risk it without having the CD, but in the end had no choice!
I have applied the ROM Flash upgrade 'cos I had to to use the Pocket Outlook Object Model to access Contacts in the app I am building, and the Bluetooth Service Pack 1 'cos it seemed like a good idea.
Then I deployed my app and it breaks the BTM. Turns out this is 'cos I use ADOCE 3.1, rather than ADOCE 3.0
Microsoft didn't know anything about it, and neither did Compaq Fortunately I found it on Google groups - thank god for Google
