Shared printer problem at home :(
I've just bought another laptop and have added it to my home wireless, it's an HP running Windows 7 home premium
The kids do their homework and print to an Epson inkjet upstairs attached to the Desktop....all ok then
I sort out 3 accounts on the new laptop.. Me and the two kids, do the usual "add printer "routine and select the Epson on the Network for me the kids.
All ok for 2 accounts but for one account Windows 7 security keeps asking for a password !!
I just can't get around it...........why is windows asking for a password to look at the desktop upstairs ??
Cheers

Scooby Regular
try make another and make them Admin see if it cues it
If not sounds daft but just enter username and password for the Admin account on Upstairs PC, it may go away after.
u could have a chuffed profile happens quite a lot in 7
My dads got the same issues but with browsing, after lots of registry stuff and Blogg reading it was a broken profile and on his i cant even make a new 1 or delete is, so format C is coming

Not helping ... but I have the same problem.
I have set up different accounts on my children's computer, but printing is very hit and miss. It either doesn't work at all, asks for a password or once in a blue-moon actually prints something.
