Default Assassins Creed - Brotherhood

Personally i can't wait for this game. I dodged the first one and borrowed the second one off a friend just a couple of months ago. I played it to death and really enjoyed it. The regular adverts on TV are just getting me more amped for it.

I have £30 on an Asda card, patiently waiting. This will be the first game i'll of got on release date for the X360!! I've got nothing planned next weekend, no commitments, it's gonna be pure gaming.

8 days and counting...

Never played the first one, loved the second one but I bougght the DLC and thought that was pretty $hit to be honest, found it to be quite badly put together. Yhe cut scenes were badly synced which was a real dissapointment.

I have a feeling the wife is getting me the new one for christmas so guess I will be waiting a few weeks.

I have Blackops, Halo Reach and the new Castlevania game to keep me busy for a while though

it's a game FFS, and having played the first two, probably not going to be that good anyway.

Loved the first one, but i felt the second one did not quite hit the mark for some reason.

I saw an advert for this yesterday and i was suprised, i thought the brotherhood thing was DLC for Creed 2, i had no idea it was a standalone product, seams to have came out quite quickly ?

Thanks for the constructive comments.

I'll be up at midnight, but would prefer not to drive a 20 mile round trip. Let me have some excitement for getting my first game on release day. It will be tricky for me to get there tomorrow/saturday.

8/10 (IGN) is good enough and i loved the 2nd game. Just because it doesn't have Call of Duty in the title.

Eurogamer gave it 10/10:

With the Xbox being more polished, but extra missions on the PS3 in the face-off.

Well....ended up playing it til after 4am. First impressions, it feels very familiar, which was nice, story just continues. The new maps seem huuuuge. I like how you can now skip cinematics if you're repeating a sequence - which i found i was as you can complete a mission, but not get 100% in it.

The streets are a lot more crowded, because of this i found i noticed the pop-up quite a lot. Just installed it on the HDD and have a couple of hours free. Ezio!

Sounds all good, is there any benefit to installing it on the HDD?

As with any game, just decreases load times (apparently).

I've been trying to do one mission 100% for about 45 mins and given up. This added difficulty of additional parts to the mission makes it tricky. Yes you can complete a mission, but it adds "do it in under 1 min", or "without losing energy" etc. To get 100% complete.

There's a part in Sequence 2 where 13-ish guys rush you and you're to not lose any energy. Damn tricky. Can kill them all, but get hit at some point. Then stop, & restart. Well frustrating.

I never played the first one. Let's just say, if you liked the second one, you'll enjoy this. I never play online, so cannot comment on the multiplayer aspect, but it sounds intruiging.

The added parts needed to get 100% completion are REALLY tricky. I played one tomb raider-tyle part for 2 hours, just trying to complete it in under 8 mins. After 2 hours, plenty of cursing, i did it, with 19s remaining. Got a feeling i'll be playing this game for some time.

Because of the repeating missions, i've not really got into the story yet. Rome's value is now at 5900 for every 20 mins.

Basically you rebuild Rome and it rewards you with flourins/credits (- just like in the second one when you rebuilt Monteriggioni). The map is big, i think the streets are too crowded and now you get about in the town via horse. The town has more depth, not just a street and buildings, it feels like it has layers. Generally more realistic. Pop-up is still an issue for me though.

Can you skip the cut scenes yet? That's what annoyed me the most how slow it takes to get in the game

I don't think i've been more frustrated or cursed as much as this game. It's a royal PITA sometimes. You can play a mission for 15mins, then get detected and have to do it again. Only to repeat it about 8 times and have to put the controller down, before it meets with the plasma!

Wow, finished already!! I haven't played it for a few days, as i got so frustrated with it, repeating missions over and over again trying to get 100%.

Only on Mem Sequence 4. Struggling to do the 5+ execution streak when you escape on the horse and every man and his dog wants a piece of you. Plus back on Mem Sequence 2 where you can't lose any energy and are attacked by 20 romulus freaks.

I kept trying memory sequences until i got 100%, or the controller nearly met with the tv and i moved on. This game might entice me to go on Xbox Live for the first time, it sounds intruiging.

I bought the 2nd one with all the dlc,it's quite a good game i find lot's of places to explore,i found having to collect the damn feathers a bit of a pain though, doing the glyphs was fun.I do find myself starting a mission and then going off track to beat up the soldiers so they chase me.....ON HIM

Yeah, they reduced the feathers from 100 to 10 in the third game, but introduced 100 Borgia Flags.
