<geek> That's actually a 500plus, which was 1992 with 1meg of RAM on board (leaving the expansion bay underneath free) and kickstart v2 which was somewhat probalamtic for those running old/copied games. Nothing relokick 1.3 wouldn't sort though.
I know - I had one
Sold it one crimbo for a tidy sum; and a few hundred of bootleg/copied games (I was 15 by teh time I sold it; no way could I afford the £30 retail of some games So did swapsies with mates at school ).
PS; Pimmo, dump the A520 modulator before it blows up and get a scart adapter -much better picture quality.

Some classics there!
The competition pro joystick was a bit of a nightmare when new, but once it was broken in and loosened up a tiny little bit, they were pretty usable.
It just took months to break the ******* in

Originally I had a quickshot 2 joystick, which was as sloppy as f**k. Quickly replaced it with a Powerplay Cruiser turbo, which without doubt is the best joystick for the Amiga IMO. Although the suction cups where ****e, so better off just holding it.

Had a competition pro but never got on with it, always seemed too 'tight'.
The Powerplay Cruiser turbo though, I got through those at an alarming rate. Forever opening them up and glueing the microswitches back down

Really wanted to have a retro session on my Amiga but remembered that it doesn't work properly, keeps crashing with the power light flashing. Happened once before and I got it repaired, didn't bother the second time......replaced it with a Playstation.
Got so many games for it.
Was thinking about getting it repaired but might just try to pick one up off Ebay.

Still got my Atari 2600 - complete with wood effect intact & about 10 games. Sadly the Atari joysticks are dead, but the paddles are like new. £100 back in 1980 was a **** tonne of money for my parents to shell out for that.
Had an Amiga Batman pack too, good times.

Is that a Kempston Quickshot? I had a couple of those. Prefered to use it when playing Sir Geoff Crammonds - Grand Prix to the Competition Pro.

Where can you get these from? I looked on Ebay for amiga + scart and the cable that comes up is for a600/1200 and no mention of 500.
