Default Wont turn on :(

Hey guys, Need some assistance please. Was happily browsing away when computer froze. turned it off and on again, now it lights up makes all its usual whirring noises, but screen says no signal and theres a continuous beep coming from somthing from inside, which stops for a coupla seconds then starts again. motherboard? graphics card? New comuter time? please help.

What type of BIOS does the PC have ? Some have diagnostic beeps that tell you which piece of hardware is failing the Power On Self Test. It might be worth reseating the memory, videocard and lastly the CPU to see if that helps.

Reseated the 2 little Ram card thingys..Seems to be sorted, So far so good anyways. Thanks Guys

Correction it did work fine for 10 mins then froze again.

It doesnt make any difference if i run with 1 or both ram thingys or in either slot. Just getting the whole beep issue again

@ Ant, its got a nvidia geforce 9600gs graphics card.

Take the graphic card out and use the onboard see what that does?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong if the above doesn't work , it'll be the motherboard as I'm sure the computer should be getting to the post screen faulty or non faulty ram.
