adhoc network problems

I am trying toset up an adhoc network but no device can connect to the network, I ran ipconfig and it has come up with this

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...

Most of my problems have been solved by re-starting the machine after changing any settings...

you have quite a few NIC's/ LAN interfaces listed

but none showing a LAN connection being UP

I think you have a pretty fundamental networking problem

Lots of "Media disconnected" - is anything plugged together ... ? Yes I know, silly question .... :-)

And you seem to have a mix of ipv4 and ipv6. Can you do this? At least to sort things out I'd use one or the other.
