HP 16gb flash drive

Chaps.

PC doesn't seem to "see" this when inserted ie doesn't show up on Windows Explorer. Any ideas

Only just bought it so it's never worked ...

Unlikely, but it MAY need formatting via the disk management option. Right click my computer, then manage. You'll see it in there, if its not dead.

Probably,you have problem with USB.Just go Control Panel->Device Manager and plug Usb stick and if you see exclamation mark(your usb stick have conflict with Usb,just try other usb port on your PC)

As Jura says, does it work in other USB ports? Does another USB device work in the USB port you tried the flash drive in? Does it get recognised on another PC and/or operating system?

Simple things first ....

Sometimes Windows tries to assign a USB drive the same drive letter as another device/network drive. Go into Disk management, if its in this list right click it and assign a new drive letter.
