What browser are you using?
Following the discussion in the Apple thread (one of them ) regarding HTML 5 I just wondered what browser everyone is using and why?
So post 'em up with your platform too.
On Windows XP and Firefox or IE8 here (no real preference between FF and IE these days). They both seem reliable and are relatively standards compliant. Tried Chrome, but it is still too bug ridden for me.
When I test a site I test against Windows IE8, IE6, Firefox and Chrome and Mac Firefox and Safari (the work of the devil IMO LOL!)

Vista & Firefox, for some reason when IE upgraded to 8 it went mad and didn't work correctly so I went back to 7 but now only use IE for checking coding on sites to make sure things look ok.

Being a coder/designer I do look for standards compliance etc. too and tend to find bugs many others wouldn't notice which is why early Firefox and all incarnations of Safari are not on my shopping list.

OSX SL and Firefox.
My last internet bank only worked on IE - I did suggest to them that it was ludricous that they only supported IE, especially as I was Mac based.
I have moved banks.
PS I have no clue how to make Safari work - it does seem to have a couple of very cool features - but overall it is a mystery to me!

caching issues - first load of a page OK, subsequent loads could be like lightening or never come back for some elements resulting in broken links/graphics etc.
its uncanny knack of linebreaking long lines of JavaScript code in the wrong place resulting in screwed up pages
slow page loading compared to IE/FF....
and so on.

I use IE but no idea of what model - how do I check?
I think it's IE6 so would I benefit if I upgraded and would this cost me anything?

I do strongly recommend you try Firefox on a PC, it really is much more stable and easier better to use
