Ok, got bits for PC home last night, built it, went to put RAM in, which was 2 256mb chips, turns out the board needs DDR RAM, which these chips are not, bummer.

Now, I can get it swapped but not until next week.

Anyone know where, in the kent area, I could obtain say a 128MB DDR Ram chip? does PC World stock DDR Ram? had a look at thier website but can't see DDR listed.

Their advert in the new PC Pro lists 128MB PC2100 DDR sticks as being "instantly available in PC World stores"

08705 464 464 for the nearest store or 0800 0565732 for price & range details.

I have a couple of 256Mb chips. I used them when running under Win 98SE and only changed them when I was having problems with XP Pro.

Drop me a mail if you're too impatient to wait.

If you're not sure which memory you need have a look at

http://www.crucial.com/uk/

They have a look-up section that shows which memory your motherboard requires.

BTW, my stuff is 2100 DDR non-registered.
