Wanting to get a wireless keyboard and mouse for my laptop for when i use it in my spare room (playroom) will this work and will i need something else as i'm not sure how my laptop picks up the wireless signal?

My laptops have wireless mice They come with a USB dongle that picks up the mouse movements.

I've had a couple now but the best have been logitech as the USB dongle sticks out only about 4mm from the USB port. My previous ones stuck out about 1.5 cm and were always being bent when I move the laptop
