Converting old PC to home server
Hi,
I have an old Shuttle small form factor PC and am planning to convert it for use as a home server.
In order to reduce it's power consumption, I'm planning to remove the DVD drive and graphics card (the motherboard does not have built-in graphics).
The server will not have a monitor and I want to access it remotely from another PC.
Does anybody know for certain whether or not this will be possible or will the lack of a graphics card in the server, mean that it will not be able to display on the remote PC???
Obviously I would configure the remote connection before removing the graphics card.
Thanks in advance!

Not sure mate, why not just allow the graphics card to be suspended, or disable it from BIOS. Means if you need to hook up a monitor at some point for diagnostics or whatever, you can with minimal fuss.
I would doubt that a basic graphics card will consume a lot of power.
