Cool

It's a bit rich coming from a company like Apple! However, I agree with what he is saying. But, if people want to use Flash, then those websites will be unavailable to i(whatever) users.

They should sort it out.

All fair points although I bet it's considerably harder to make a cross browser heavily animated websites in HTML5 as supposed to Flash.

credit to him for putting his thoughts out there. Flash clearly has it's place but as with all things it's there to be made defunct.

Never been a fan of flash; all Steve has to do now is disown lightbox plug-ins and I'll be a happy chappy

I take Steve Jobs and his diatribe with a pinch of salt. I'm a BIG Apple fan, and use their products every day in both professional and consumer manners, but Steve Jobs is their to do one thing: Sell Apple products. He's a salesman.

He might be right about Flash, who knows, who really cares.

we strongly believe that all standards pertaining to the web should be open
What they don’t say is that almost all this video is also available in a more modern format, H.264, and viewable

H.264, a proprietary codec and a licensing nightmare, don't expect to see wide spread use of it, cross platform, till about 2025, when the H.264 patents expire
