xbox 360 (60GB) problem & questions
Hi,
my lad's 360 with 60GB HDD (18 months old) has suffered a DVD drive failure, the disks will not even spin up in the drive.
I've had it apart to inspect and remove dust / fluff, but no joy.
My question is, rather than repairing it, how easy is it to transfer his Xbox live account and HDD across to a brand-new Arcade console?
Or is a repair the best option? I've seen prices of £50 - £60 for a DVD replacement.
Thanks in advance for any advice ...

Yup it is an easy option.
I have just picked a freshly refurbished (by MS) xbox arcade from ebay for 50quid delivered (console only)
It still has a years worth of MS warranty left
It is to replace the aged PS2 for my office at work
Also picked up a 16gb usb pendrive for 7.50 to use as a hard drive
