Linpus linux lite issue

My wife has this on her netbook. I know nothing about it. I tried doing some downloads today to get some bits up to date.

after following various websites i have given up on it

but i turned of the computer and when she turned it back on, firefox was not booting up when pressing the shortcut on the desktop.

I did some reading and i think i need to create a new short cut. i know how to do this easily on windows but i have no idea on this system.

I know i still have firefox installed as i can get it to open through a terminal.

Any help appreciated

Only advice I can give on that is get rid of Linpus mate, I bloody hated it on my netbook and now have Win7, XP and OSX on the boot menu to choose from when I switch it on.

how do i remove it? might be a trip to PC world lol

Well to remove it you need another operating system to install in its place so either XP, Vista or Win7 or if you want to Hackintosh it put Apple's OSX on it.
