HI all.

morpheus which I discovered thanks to this site, went down in order to update their software.

The new software is now out, but I dont seem to be able to download much stuff anymore, every attempt fails.

Just wondering if this is likely to be because other users dont realise teh new software is available, so they arent trying to use the system anymore.

If so, what can I do about it, apart from start a big chain letter attempting to alert everyone in the world that its back up and running.

Any know what can be done?

 

Forget Morpheus...

Since they launched the new PE version it has gon sh!te and they are in the process of launching Morpheus V2.

Try Kazaa instead, it is just like "old" Morpheus but better. You can even import your Morpheus settings & resume downloads too.

The full version of Kazaa has loads of extra cr@p in it (& spywear) so get Kazaa Lite instead. Just do a search on t' internt for "Kazaa lite" and download that.

I use the gnucleus client which uses the gnu/bear/morph network and it's still ****e.. Looks like P2P is going thru a bit of a rough patch..

I reckon the music industry secretly paid some hackers to f*ck up morpheous - cheaper and quicker than suing them a la napster.
