Got my Mac book pro yesterday :)
13" 2.53ghz version.
Installed all the updates - 750mb
then photoshop cs4, iwork 09 and a few other things
set up wifi
closed the lid to sleep over night and this morning it was awake and connected to my router without hesitation
Really chuffed

Nice! If it's your first the Command key is the Alt key and the # key is Right Alt + £ everything else should be self explanatory.
Just though I'd save you a trip to Google.

It does mildly amuse me when you connect 10.6 up and see how many updates there are. Having said that, the majority of the size markup for that would have been 10.6.2, as that is a pretty large one.
Expect another large update within the next couple of weeks as 10.6.3 is nearing the end of development by all accounts.

Good luck - My MBP just went bang. Seriously not happy... Graphics card apparently... You just forget how much you rely on these damn laptops.
I use mine to earn my living and even with the AppleCare I'll be without it for 7-10 days it seems

It was an mid 2008 (not unibody), I am very disappointed it only lasted 18 months.
New logic board required, £325 + £40 repair + VAT - AppleCare has paid for itself.
Dedrater - I did consider that but to be fair, I dropped the machine off on Saturday at 4pm and was picking it up again on Monday at 5.30pm, can't really complain about the turn around time.
It would be nice if Apple with their billions of cash would supply 'loan' machines or even post the machine back to you. I live 40 miles from the Apple store so it's cost me £40 on top in fuel and parking...
