Question Give Me Your Recomendations ....

My Laptop is dying .... it was rescued from the skip and repaired by me a couple of years ago - cost me nothing ... but the HardDrive is clicking and whirring and gurgling.

Think it may be time to change?

All I use it for is Internet, to be honest. But could play some simple games if it was decent (like Silent Hunter).

Are NoteBooks any good? Or are LapTops still the best option?

I think £299'ish should get me something which would do me .... do you think?

Any links to good offers?

Thanks in anticipation

I did think, as most use LapTops, it wasn't specialised enough for the Computer Section ...

If I could find one with a faulty pixel I could get my money back and keep it!

OH, yes, must not come from PCWorld or any Currys/Dixons Group outfit!!

I want good Customer Service so PCWorld is ruled out ..... Dell any good, I have heard mixed reports about their attitude to Customers?

Could be overboosting. Have you tried a USB Cocklink Pete?
