Ubisofts new PC gaming DRM
Basically is.................
You have to be connected to the internet at all times, if your connection drops, they kick you from the game tough titty if you have not saved recently either
Assassin's Creed 2 ummm WTF DRM? - Games for Windows Live
That is crazy IMHO

They've effectively killed off their PC market.
To be honest though, if my PC is on, it's connected to the interweb so it wouldn't be that much of a problem but like you say, if your connection drops (or their servers go offline!) you're screwed.

I wonder if this will become another "spore" and people just pirate it for the sake of it.
Like you my PC is always generally connected, but you do have times when the connection might drop, or the router reboots, imagine finally beating something you have been having trouble with, then getting kicked because the DRM said so (yet you paid for the game)
I would be livid, a lot of people have been complaining that GFWL keys have been "used up" when reinstalling and MS when contacted, will give you one more key to use, after that you need to buy a new game/copy!?!
I know i have been checking PC game DRM a lot more now, before even thinking about a purchase, i have held off some games just because i don't want the hassle of "running out of installs" in the future.

They should go back to putting printed manuals in the box and get you to type in the two random words it picks out, or the rotating wheel code disc from the Rocket Man (can't remember the actual name of the Amiga classic)
