Cool Mixing text and cell valuein Chart title in Excel

I create a report each day, week, month etc. of problem records raised and it populates a chart in Excel.

In the chart title, I want to say "Problem records raised for" and then the date, which is contained in a cell.

I can get the cell value in to the title easily enough, but I can't get the text in too! It's one or the other.

I know you can do this, but I can't work it out.

Help please!

Hi Geezer

A possible simple work round is to create a cell in the spreadsheet which contains a formula such as:-

="Problem records raised for "&F4

...where F4 is the cell that contains the date you require.

The cell in your spreadsheet will then contain the whole of the legend you want in the title. You then pick that up in the chart by:-

(1) opening the chart
(2) click the title that you want to link to the spreadsheet cell you created as above.
(3) In the formula bar type an equal sign (=)
(4) Select the spreadsheet cell that you created

Good luck!
