Default anyone on here know about Virtual/Remote Mirror Replication at all?

as above

anyone got knowledge in this field?

just trying to learn about the strengths and weaknesses and differences between Sun AVS (Remote Mirror Copy/Point in Time Copy)

and Hitachi TrueCopy and ShadowImage

and VMware etc.

as far i can see they all same to do the same thing , just for different hardware and software? is that right or have i misunderstood?

Sun AVS seems to be constrained to Solaris OS.

Hitachi to their Hardware..

VMware seems to be cross platform compatible?

Well confused.

Cheers
