I bought a reasonably upmarket Toshiba laptop this week.

But took it back to the shop, Staples, today with one or two issues.

Can anyone comment on the following: -

1) CD drive is very noisy and I said I wasn't happy. Guy said it was a Toshiba problem and a lot were like that. My daughter told me later that her Toshiba had been noisy for 3 years. Anyway I swapped it for another which seems quieter.

2) The laptop came with a 30 day McAfee (spelling?) trial but I had already bought Kaspersky which I prefer. Having uninstalled McAfee, Kaspersky won't install saying some other anti-virus programme, which we can't find, is still on machine. Guy in shop could not solve this either??

3) After I swapped machine I realised that we had loaded Windows Office and input it's unique registration number on the now returned machine. So how can I install it again on exchanged machine?
