Default Adamo vs Macbook Air vs XPS Studio 13

Need something while I am out and about.

Looking at the above 3 options.

XPS13 obviously has the best features, but portability would be important to me also.

Never used a Mac.

nowt wrong with the airbook, but it will be limiting (and probably pricey) compared to the others....

If you're used to Windoze, then IMHO, stick to what you know - it really depends on what you want to use the machine for tbh.......

A Mac is an expensive mistake to make

And this is coming from a Mac User Macs are great for most applications, except games.

Also the MacBookAir is a bit limited on the hardware - stingy amount of USB iirc.
Out of interest, why the Air? Just because it's thin?

Go for a small MacBook Pro then - better spec & the ability to run Windoze too.... but with a HD and USB, monitor output etc....

Not trying to put you off, as another Mac convert only helps the cause but in reality, if money is a consideration, the PC options are probably better, as they offer more (including the grief, crashes and general intrusions from Micro$haft)

Battery life and portability are important. Adamo looks to tick the boxes but spec is weak compared to the XPS. Don't want to stray much over £1k.

I'll echo Dan on all points, as I'm also an Apple fanboy. The Air is VERY nice, but it is overpriced for what it offers, and has limitations, eg no built in DVD drive (have to use an external one). Small HD at 120GB and I don't see a BTO (Build To Order) option for a larger one either. Only one USB port too.

I have played with one and they are cool, but I'd rather spend the money on a Macbook, might be a bit bigger, but more bang for buck.

One other point about a Mac, it can be dual booted, so if you don't like OS X, you can boot into XP/Vista and possibly 7 too.
