Default Microsoft Technet Subscription

As I understand it, a MS Technet subscription would give me legal access to (most of) Microsoft software - including Servers and operating systems - for evaluation purposes.

Is that all right - anybody here signed up? Worth it?

It seems like good value to be able to test, eg Windows 7 and some server systems, before we roll them out/recommend them.

Yes, pretty much that.

Caveat is the license is for you and nobody else.

I have TechNet as well as MSDN access. If your company has a support contract with MS, you can get them to throw Technet in for free ;-)

Cheers. Yep, the license being for a 'single user' isn't a problem.

the technet site says the license is not time limited. I assume thats also the case if you didn't renew the subscription?

What are the e-training options like?
