Default Network based internal messaging system

Can anyone recommened a suitable program? We used to use Vypress Messenger which was perfect! but since we have gone from a Workgroup network to a a Domain based network it doesn't work. Vypress dont have a telephone number and its very hard trying to sort the issues over
e-mail.

We have also had an IT bloke in to try and get it to work but no luck. So we need to scrap it and get another system back in ASAP.

All we want is a system so we can send messengers to each other internally and that they are logged so they are just being used for work related stuff and if a message is accidently deleted it can be retrieved.

Any suggestions?

That looks like external to me though, we really just want a simple internel messaging system where I don't have to setup other accounts.
