Homeplug 200m what cat cable
As above i have just bought a homeplug, the problem being is the cable that is supplied is not long enough so I'm going to buy a longer one. What I'm wondering is what cat cable do i need, its only going to be either 3 metre or 5 metre depending on which i can get. i want it to be able to stream HD video to my PS3 without any lag.

I expect the HomePlug has a 100BaseT Ethernet interface on it so Cat5/5e would be fine. If it has a Gigabit Ethernet (1000BaseT) socket then buy Cat6 if you're really worried about interference but you're probably wasting your money .

I have 200mbps Homeplugs to stream media to my PS3, and I am using some old tat we "borrowed" from work about 8 years ago (about 4 m long) and that is absolutely fine.

The PS3 is next to the router so theres no problems with that side its more my desktop computer as i'm not a fan of wireless, it keeps dropping off signal and lagging
