Hi Guys,

Here my problem can some advise on a cure!

When I try to open Contol panel or Network connection icon through the start menu it automatically opens the "my computer window" and displays all the drives, However they do open, when I right click the option and select "explore". If i select an icon in the newly opened window it automatically goes back to the "my computer window"

I feel it may be a registry problem, but i'm hoping it's not.

I had a malware issue and since i fixed it, this has happened.

Could someone advise, I don't want to be clicking explore to open all the windows and was hoping for solution without messing about with resgistry.

Guys cracked it!

my computer>tools>folder options>file types>select file>advance> make "open" default option

if anyone is interested.
