Is a bluetooth dongle as simple as it says?
In a few months i should hopefully be moving house-at mo i am connected via a cable modem to virgin ( so not upto speed with what equipment you exactly need to be wireless)
As i cant be without access to internet i thought when i move house be easiest to buy a dongle for about a fiver on 3 network, so for a few weeks whilst i get a new provider set up i still can use net.
Are these blutooth dongles that plug into a USB socket as simple to use as that-will it be a simple case at new house just turn computer on, push dongle into usb socket and voila when i open firefox it will connect to internet or am i missing point? The computer i am using is approx 6 years old tho.
before anyone mentions it where i am moving to doesnt have cable so i will defo have to move broadband providor and currently i think i will move to BT, plus will at new house want to be wireless.

I've got one of the 3 USB dongle things, worked great for me when i was traveling alot with work although coverage on the more rural areas ie. my house is non-existant.
Mine was pay-as-you-go, 49quid for the dongle itself and a free tenner topup. That was last summer so dunno what the prices are like now, but i think the 2gb allowance for a tenner lasted me the whole month no bother.

I bought a 3 one and I can't fault it for surfing the net and it's fast enough to download the odd song or two. And yes it is that simple, you plug it in, it installs the software and you are good to go.
The only thing I would suggest is to look on the net if your area has hsdpa
good luck with the move
